Offered furnished and available late June is this absolutely beautiful one bedroom period conversion flat, located on SE20’s premier road, moments from Crystal Palace Park, multiple stations and Crystal Palace’s Triangle.
Located on the ground floor of an imposing and very handsome period building, this super pretty flat offers generous space (over 500ft2 in fact!) and is also finished to a high standard.
At the front of the flat is a generous-sized reception room, it has an attractive west-facing bay window which gets the afternoon sun and has quality plantation shutters. There’s a comfy sofa, a peach-coloured loveseat, a small dining table and TV unit; there’s also space for a desk if needed, too.
Towards the rear is a good-sized bedroom, which has French doors leading onto the garden and the flat’s small private terrace, beyond which there is a large south-facing communal garden.
The bathroom is stunning and is finished to a very high standard, there’s a shower over a full size bath, luxury tiled walls and modern sanitaryware. The kitchen is also well finished; there’s acres of worktop space, which is quality solid wood, and storage is plentiful, too.
Location-wise, the flat is very close to the Park entrance, with the nearest part being the boating lake and Dinosaurs. Penge West station is 0.4 mi away, giving access to the overland line, making access to The City and Shoreditch a breeze; Penge East is 0.7 mi away, which is a short train journey to Victoria. Crystal Palace Station is 0.4mi away and gives direct access to London Bridge as well as Victoria (via Forest Hill). Thicket Road has multiple station options within easy reach, which is a real asset of this location, but it’s also a famous road for its architecture, and as is found across London on roads that border our large parks, the buildings are huge and have a sense of grandeur about them.
Nearby on Anerley Road there is a Tesco Express for the essentials, then there’s Café Chic (a stunning Persian Café), whose falafel & halloumi wraps are our favourites, their coffee’s pretty damn good too, and their garden is the spot for an al-fresco brunch or lunch.
Next door to Chic there’s a Bob Wines, and a few other incredible places you’ll love living next door to, such as the beloved Chatsworth Bakehouse, where locals queue for Sian & Tom’s insanely good sandwiches, focaccia, brownies & pizzas. Then there’s a more recent and very welcome addition to the neighbourhood in the Crystal Palace Wine Club.
Slightly further up the hill is our much loved “Triangle” where you can find the best gastropubs, coffee shops, vintage furniture & clothes shops, art galleries, an everyman cinema and of course the much loved Haynes Lane food market, you wouldn’t ever need to leave the Triangle, it has everything and thankfully it’s largely independent!
